Just a few weeks after they unveiled the production version of the new model X4, BMW is doing homework for a new 4x4 model. Several sources talk about expanding the range of SUV coupe, SACs as they are called by the officials of BMW, which means a new brother of BMW X6 and X4. It would be the youngest and be called X2.
A publication dedicated to the Bavarian brand's claims that the X2 will be the platform brother with X1. This relationship involves using the front-wheel-drive platform, launched with the new BMW Active Tourer 2, MPV rival Mercedes B-Klasse, introduced at Geneva in early March.
According to the same rumors, the upcoming BMW X2 has been confirmed to enter into production in 2017, which means that soon we could do already familiar with a concept designed to anticipate the onset. It's knows that the model will be offered with two body versions, one with three and one five-door.
