Here we have BMW's most recent update round. The changes include new powertrains, faster charging capabilities, and some fresh aesthetic options across several models. Starting with the 1-Series, BMW is adding the new 116 variant, equipped with a 1.5-liter, three-cylinder petrol engine producing 121 hp and 170 lb-ft of torque.

This engine pairs with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, driving the front wheels. The setup allows for a 0-62 mph sprint in 9.8 seconds. Another new addition to the lineup is the 123 xDrive, featuring a four-cylinder hybrid powertrain with a total output of 215 hp.

This model accelerates from 0-62 mph in a quicker 6.3 seconds. In November, the M135 xDrive will gain an M Technology Package, which includes aluminum anti-roll bars, new front shocks, underfloor braces for enhanced steering, and 19-inch forged wheels with sport tires.

The package also brings in M Compound brakes, Shadowline exterior trim, and illuminated M Sport seats. Additionally, the 1-Series range gets new color options, including Fire Red metallic, BMW Individual Tanzanite Blue metallic, and M Brooklyn Grey metallic, along with dark chrome interior accents and a new 19-inch wheel design.

For station wagon enthusiasts, BMW has introduced the 520i Touring, which houses a four-cylinder petrol engine paired with 48V mild hybrid technology. It delivers a combined 205 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque, allowing for a 0-62 mph time of 7.8 seconds.

The 550e xDrive Touring also joins the lineup, featuring a plug-in hybrid powertrain that combines a 3.0-liter petrol engine with an electric motor and battery pack. This setup produces 483 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque, accelerating from 0-62 mph in 4.4 seconds with an electric-only range of 51-56 miles.

For the fully electric crowd, there’s the new i5 xDrive40 Touring, which packs an 81.2 kWh battery powering a dual-motor all-wheel drive system with 389 hp and 435 lb-ft of torque. It hits 62 mph in 5.5 seconds, with a range of 281-323 miles on a single charge.

Plug-in hybrid models, including the M5 and X5 xDrive50e, now charge faster, thanks to an increased AC charging capacity of 11 kW, cutting recharge times significantly. BMW’s software updates include improved digital key sharing, in-car gaming, video streaming, and easier navigation for finding high-speed charging stations. These updates are available on models like the X5, X6, X7, XM, iX, and 7-Series.
