Paolo Dellacha has been appointed as the new CEO of Automobili Pininfarina, succeeding Per Svantesson, who is retiring. Dellacha previously served as the company's Chief Product and Engineering Officer.
He expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to lead the company and mentioned that the legacy of Pininfarina inspires him as a proud Italian. Paolo Dellacha has a strong background in the automotive industry, with extensive experience at both Ferrari and Maserati.
At Ferrari, he worked as a test engineer and innovation manager and played a significant role in developing the four-wheel drive system of the Ferrari FF. This experience has equipped him with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead Automobili Pininfarina.
Notably, Paolo Dellacha is responsible for the creation of the Pininfarina Battista, an all-electric supercar with limited production. The Battista has received recognition for its impressive performance, setting a new acceleration record of 0 to 60 mph in 1.79 seconds and surpassing the Rimac Nevera.
With Paolo Dellacha at the helm, Automobili Pininfarina plans to reveal a number of electric vehicles in the future. Dellacha stated that the company will use its design leadership and technical expertise developed through the creation of the Battista to create a series of beautiful and exciting electric cars. He aims to enhance the company's position as a leading name in electrified luxury automotive.
