Another 95 Years Celebration For Maserati Motorsport With Two F Tributo Special Editions
by AutoExpert | 26 April, 2021
Even after the end of the 2021 Shanghai Auto Show, there are still stories to tell about its attendees. This time is the story of the beautiful jewel they presented during the show. It was an instant conquer with its two special editions - the Ghibli and the Levante F Tributo. Both models are not just next in line with the brand's released models - these two are an homage to the automaker's long, proud history in motorsport.
Celebrating 95 years in motorsport class, both cars have an exterior painted in Rosso Tributo (red) or Azzuro Tributo (light blue). Each color carries on the brand’s history - the Rosso Tributo refers to Italy’s racing colors - on their first Ferrari racing car.
We're talking about the Maserati 250F with Juan Manual Fangio behind the wheel and its wowing success over its 46 races. The car brought eight pole positions and eight wins so, it's no wonder that Maserati decided to opt for the car's red color and borrowed its yellow color for the brake calipers. Keep in mind that Fangio’s race car was painted, in both red and yellow colors.
Remember, the 250F was the best front-engined F1 car was not the brand’s only popular race car. Despite that, Maserati wants to celebrate this weekend, the 95th anniversary of the first race of the Maserati brand. On April 25th, 1926, Maserati's Tipo26 entered its first event and won the 1,500 cc class at the Targa Florio with Alfieri Maserati at the wheel. Do you think it's worth a special edition celebration?
The second car, painted in Azzuro Tributo, pays a tribute to Maserati’s hometown - Modena. The town's colors are - take a guess - blue and yellow, and here we go again with the same design pattern - light blue exterior, and yellow brake calipers. As you can see, the homage is pretty well pointed for both models.
The Maserati special additions also have different black wheels - featuring Anteo 21-inch wheels for the Levante and 21-inch Titano shiny wheels for the Ghibli vehicle. On both of them, you can spot a gloss black badge on the wheel arch, and a body-color trident badge sits on the C-pillar. The interior features black leather with matching stitchings to the exterior - Rosso or Azurro.
