After BMW X5, 5 Series, 7 Series, and the new 3 Series will see another representative of the hybrids from the BMW model range. Germany announces the start of the new model 225xe in the Frankfurt International Motor Show, scheduled for mid-September 2015.

The first MPV in the history of the Bavarian brand, BMW Active Tourer Series 2 has received new engine versions for most eco-friendly car owners. Well, the 225xe version is addressed to those concerned not only with the environment but also in their own pocket. Monocab uses the services of propellant combustion, three-cylinder 1.5-liter volume, TwinPower Turbo, and the latter is assisted by an electric motor, powered by 7.7 kWh lithium-ion batteries power.

While the gas station produces 136 horsepower and 220 Nm of torque, the power unit delivers 88 additional horsepower and 165 Nm of torque! This summary of their power reaches 224 hp and 385 Nm of a worthy indicator appreciated for a car in this class.

Thanks to the wheel drive system, BMW Series 2 Active Tourer 225xe manages to surprise you with a sprint to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds and with the accelerator to the floor can reach a maximum speed of 202 km/h. Not just numbers enviable but if we consider the average fuel consumption not exceeding 2.1 liters per 100 km, then we can safely say that it is a perfect car for the urban environment. Even in full-electric autonomy is 41 km away, which cannot but rejoice in his pocket.

Not even the price bite. The new model can be yours if you pay at least 37,800 euros, as far as the home price in Germany is!
