Alpina B3 And B4 GT Editions Boost Performance To 522 HP

The Alpina B3, B3 Touring, and B4 Gran Coupé now come in a hardcore GT variant. Germany will be the first to sell the updated GT models in November, with the UK following suit in early 2025.
The new GTs use a 3.0-liter straight-six petrol engine, twin-turbocharged, with the same displacement as the base B3 and B4 models but with an additional 33 horsepower up to 522 horsepower peak, delivered between 6250 and 6500 rpm.
A ZF eight-speed automatic transmission distributes the same 538 lb-ft of torque to each of the four wheels. All the cars have shaved 0.2 seconds off their 0-62 mph times to match the power increase, with the B3 GT saloon achieving the fastest time of 3.4 seconds. Improving upon its previous rating, its top speed is now 191 mph.
The chassis of the GTs has improved handling and reduced roll. These include thicker rear anti-roll bars, reinforced bulkheads for more accurate steering, and stiffer damper mounts. Adjusting the spring rates has enhanced the ride quality. Meanwhile, upgrades for the B4 GT coupé include retuned suspension, steering, anti-roll bars, four-wheel drive, and a limited-slip differential.
A lot of the design cues come from the bigger B5 GT. Front canards, a reworked diffuser, and black exhausts characterize the B3 and B4 GTs. Custom badging and 20-inch alloy wheels in bronze add to their distinctiveness. A plaque showing the model number and paddle shifters adorn the GTs' interiors, while bronze stitching adorns the exteriors.
Saloon prices for the Alpina B3 GT in Germany start at €101,700 (£85,600), estate models cost €102,900 (£87,570), and Gran Coupé models cost €105,100 (£89,400).
