AC Schnitzer Enters The Electric Vehicle Market With Modifications For The BMW i4
by AutoExpert | 26 August, 2022
The tuner AC Schnitzer is well-known for its work on internal combustion engine vehicles, but it recently shifted its focus to electric cars, notably the BMW i4 sedan.
German EV owners have a variety of aerodynamic options to choose from, including front splitters, side wings for the front bumpers, a back roof spoiler, and side blades for the rear quarters. The AC1 five-spoke wheels from the tuner are offered in two colors and two diameters, 19 and 20 inches. The AC4 Flow Forming wheels are also available in 20-inch sizes.
Accessories for the inside include aluminum pedals, an aluminum footrest, an aluminum key holder, and a "Black Line" cover for the iDrive controller. The electric drivetrain of the i4 has been kept untouched by AC Schnitzer.
Therefore, BMW i4 buyers will have to settle for the 281 hp and 335 hp produced by the single-motor, rear-wheel drive i4 eDrive35 and eDrive40 models, respectively, or the 536 hp sent to all four wheels by the dual-motor M50 variant. The M50 is the fastest of the three, reaching 60 mph in 3.7 seconds.
