Despite being founded in 1931, reaching the Chinese market is a victory worth celebrated. Since the customers do have different requirements, it is still a dream come true for every automaker. Once you get their recognition of your models, you'll be welcomed with open arms.
Porsche reached this Chinese market level after 70 years in the car industry. This year they celebrate the 20th Anniversary with a specially styled 911 Turbo S Dubbed Porsche 911 Turbo S 20 Years Porsche China Edition, the commemorative 911 Turbo S was presented at the 2021 Shanghai Auto Show.
This beautiful gem was designed by the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur bespoke division, offering an exterior with custom livery with the number 20 on the doors. Also, it is the 20 Years Porsche China Edition badge on the B-pillars, along with an embossed Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur lettering and White Gold stripes on the body kit.
The model presented in Shanghai has an Olso Blue finish, but customers can choose between the other five colors - Star Ruby Red, Mint Green, Viola Purple, and Gulf Orange. Of course, each Porsche will have the Anniversary badging applied throughout the interior but will have a unique color theme matching the chosen exterior color option.
President and CEO of Porsche China, Jens Puttfarcken, stated that twenty years is a significant milestone, not yet the finish line. "We would like to use this opportunity to renew our commitment to the Chinese market. Together with our partners and our customers, we can work to cultivate the next generation of sports car enthusiasts and create even greater fusion in the next 20 years and beyond".
Planned to be launched in a limited number, this Anniversary Porsche 911 Turbo S version will deliver information on its production cap. Presumably, there aren't modifications towards the performance package the 911 Turbo S, should deliver enough power from the standard 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six - at least 640 horsepower and 799 Newton-meters of torque.
Other Porsche models displayed during the Shanghai Auto Show are the 718 Spyder, the dystopian 911 Turbo S from Cyberpunk 2077, and the Porsche Boxster 25 Years special edition. Quite an eye-catching gallery this year.
