This year, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles will make a significant debut. It's the 2023 Volkswagen Amarok, which has been teased for over two years. The newest digital drawing shows the midsize truck's side profile, which has hefty plastic cladding on the wheel arches and plenty of ground clearance.
The 2023 Volkswagen Amarok features sturdy winter tires and a lot of suspension travel, so it can handle bumpy terrain with confidence. The new behemoth will be 100 mm (3.93 inches) longer and more than 40 mm (1.57 inches) broader than the existing model, thanks to a new version of Ford's T6 chassis. To refresh your memory, the current Amarok is 5,254 mm (206.9 in) long and 1,954 mm (76.9 in) wide in double-cab form.
Like the current model, which has been on the market since 2010, the redesigned Volkswagen Amarok will be available with a variety of diesel engines, including a powerful V6 TDI. Other powertrains may be offered, depending on the region. The first-generation model sold over 815,000 units, and the successor will be manufactured at the Silverton plant, South Africa.
