2022 Will Bring You A Rivian R1T With An Optional Removable Roof
by AutoExpert | 30 April, 2021
The Rivian R1T already conquered the automotive world, becoming one of the most interesting electric vehicles on the market. Who says that this would be all since the manufacturer prepared something as original with a new option for their customers - a removable roof.
Rivian is both an American electric vehicle automaker and automotive technology company, and everyone expects the very best of it. Keep in mind that this one will be available from mid-2022, in the pickup's official configurator. Officially, it was not confirmed yet, nor via a press release, but it was briefly mentioned as a configurator option.
Though we don't have any official images of what it would look like on a Rivian R1. In theory, the removable roof might be developed either with separate sections like the one for the Jeep Wrangler or as a single-piece roof to be taken off. In early April, Rivian made public the warranty information for both the R1T and R1S. It was confirmed that the comprehensive portion of the warranty is five years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first.
Under the same guaranty falls the cost of all parts and labor necessary for any defective materials. Now about its battery pack and its internal components, the powertrain included, each one has the same eight years or 175,000 miles guarantee. If this isn't enough, Rivian also offers an 8-year unlimited mile warranty for protection against corrosion of the body panels of the Rivian R1.
The American manufacturer promised to start the deliveries of the Rivian R1T in June, with the first R1S SUVs reaching its customers in August this year.
