2022 Renault Austral Interior Boasts A Large Screen
by AutoExpert | 28 January, 2022
Renault is preparing to retire the Kadjar by ramping up the teaser advertising for its immediate replacement. The most recent teaser allows us to go inside the Renault Austral's cabin, where two displays, one larger than the other, can be seen. We've seen this before. Sure, on the Megane E-Tech Electric.
The new Renault Austral will feature a similar screen arrangement, with a completely digital instrument cluster and a large infotainment screen forming an "L" shape. Renault claims that its next compact crossover will have a 24.3-inch screen and an easy interface with 90% of the functionality accessible in only 1-2 clicks. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay will be included in the OpenR Link interface, as well as Google Maps and Google Search.
The 2022 Renault Austral, on the other hand, features many storage places throughout the cabin, with a total cargo volume of more than 30 liters. The firm even claims that the cabin provides a cocoon-like environment. The Austral also sports a movable rear bench for added convenience, which can be folded.
On the more costly trim levels, there's a button in the back that allows the rear seats to be electrically dropped. In comparison to the mechanically similar 2022 Nissan Qashqai, the cabin appears to have a more current look.
It's unknown if the crossover will be available without a diesel engine like the Qashqai or keep the dCi. The gasoline engines are expected to be supplied alongside the hybrid system. This might be the last teaser, as the carmaker has previously stated the Renault Austral will be available in Europe this spring.
