2022 Kia K8 Sedan Is Back With New Tech Specifications And It Makes You Rethink Your Favorite Brands' List

After releasing at the beginning of this month the official photos for the sedan's interior and making us crave for more, Kia is back with new technical specifications details and the 2021 Kia K8 doesn't disappoint at all. First notice - the sedan will be larger summing a 197.4 length.

Powered by a 3.5 - liter V6 gasoline engine it delivers equal to 296 horsepower and up to 359 Newton-meters of torque. The surprise addition of the 2021 K8 is the all-wheel-drive system for the top-tier version. Just by that, the K8 is more powerful than the Cadenza's performance which's 3.3-liter V6 produces only 343 power of torque.

The mentioned above 3.5-liter engine will work with liquid propane injection alongside the gasoline direct injection previously rated with delivering a minimal output of 237 hp and 314 of torque. It's great news so far, but they're still questions about the CRDI-powering K8 presence.

Remember that there's also the midrange variant K8 sedan available, and it will rely mostly on a smaller four-cylinder, 2.5-liter powertrain delivering 195 horsepower and top torque up to 248 Newton-meters. Both engine variants will be coupled to the eight-speed automatic transmission. The base -variant will have a 1.6-liter engine and will arrive in the following months.

The current sedan will use a MacPherson strut front, a multi-link rear suspension, and beefier sound-deadening materials (take for example a triple sealing solution) to shave-off the noise, vibration, and harshness levels. The interior also features a "smart support" function for the driver's seat. This new feature activates in sport mode or when the sedan surpasses 81 mph.

Other interior features vary from ventilated seats towards both 12-inch digital display sound systems and digital screens. Also, the customer gets navigation-based adaptive cruise control and the latest surround-view camera system. The sales will start next month in Korea and a bit later it will reach the global market. No prices were announced yet.
