by AutoExpert | 29 April, 2022
Ford Australia has disclosed all of the technical specifications for its 2022 Ford Everest, which will be available with two turbodiesel motors and four trim levels. Starting with the powertrains, the entry-level 2.0-liter Bi-Turbo produces 207 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque in the diesel-only line.
A 10-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear or all four wheels of the vehicle. The larger and more powerful 3.0-liter V6 Turbo Diesel produces 247 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque for those who desire more.
This one is only available with all-wheel drive but the same 10-speed automatic gearbox as the previous one. Everest has a maximum towing capacity of 7,716 pounds braked on all models. The curb weight varies depending on the motor and trims, ranging from 4,980 pounds to 5,494 pounds, with a payload ranging from 1,634 pounds to 1,451 pounds.
There are four trim levels available in Australia, two for each powerplant. The 2.0 Bi-Turbo Diesel is coupled with the Ambiente and Trend models, while the 3.0 V6 Turbo Diesel is designated for the Sport and Platinum models.
LED lights, 17-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires, five seats, fabric upholstery, dual-zone temperature controls, a 10.1-inch touchscreen, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, and more are included as standard features in the entry-level Ambiente.
The Ford Everest will be sold in a limited number of markets, including the Philippines, Thailand, and India, where it will be known as the Endeavour.
