Audi showed the whole facelifted A8 range just days after revealing the A8 L Horch Founders Edition for China, ensuring the German flagship remains competitive until its all-electric successor appears in 2024. The 2022 Audi A8 features several cosmetic upgrades, including new color schemes, the introduction of the S Line kit, and more tech inside the sumptuous interior.
Audi A8 is usually noticeable as the longest, most impressive, and most opulent Audi, thanks to its revised appearance. On the A8, A8L, and S8 models, a fresh grille with a unique finish has been added to the front. In line with previous Audi vehicles, the revised bumper includes larger intakes ringed by chrome.
New wheel styles are ranging from 18 to 21 inches and also a new color scheme with metallic and matte treatments. The digital OLED taillights are now standard and have a proximity indication feature that illuminates them when another vehicle approaches a stopped A8 from behind within 2 m (6.6 ft).
The 2022 Audi A8 gets a nicer appearance with the chrome option, while the S-line package adds a sportier appeal. Among other sporting features, the S8 performance has quad exhaust pipes and a diffuser.
A 10.1-inch digital instrument cluster, additional head-up display, and 8.6-inch touchscreen with Audi's MIB3 infotainment system are all part of the completely digital cabin. To delight the back passengers, the facelift adds two 10.1 full HD monitors, matrix LED reading lights, and a Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound System with a 1,920 Watt amplifier and 23 speakers.
The relaxation seat in the A8 L with multiple settings, electronically controlled comfort headrests, back massage with 18 pneumatic cushions, and a footrest on the rear of the passenger seat with heating and massage functions are just a few of the choices available for the back seats. There's also a bar area between the back seats, as well as four-zone luxury automated air-con, ionizer, and fragrancing.
