Zubr-Tuned Lada Niva Will Set You Back $49,000

The Lada Niva, which first appeared on the market in 1977, is still a favorite pick among off-road enthusiasts who are on a budget. There is an even more radical Niva supplied by the German tuner Zubr, which is now advertised on eBay for €44,000 ($49,018).

Zubr called it a "Monster" since it differs significantly from a standard Niva in terms of both appearance and functionality. A brief side-by-side comparison with a basic Niva demonstrates the Monster's off-road prowess.

The 16-inch alloy wheels are shod with bulky Hankook Dynapro M/T tires, and the full-size spare tire requires a specific attachment. Zubr also fitted bolt-on fenders with extra expansions to accommodate the broader stance. Raptor provided the bespoke paint, making it scratch and corrosion resistant. Extra intakes on the bonnet and C-pillars, a winch, a snorkel, dual exhaust pipes, and side steps are also included, as well as a bespoke grille that makes the circular LED headlights seem more ferocious.

The Monster has 150 mm (5.9 inches) more ground clearance than a conventional Niva, which has a ride height of 235 mm (9.25 inches). Also, it boasts considerable chassis alterations, including a custom suspension built for severe off-road use and additional mechanical underbody protection.

Although the 1.7-liter petrol engine generates just 82 hp (61kW/83PS) and 129 Nm (95 lb-ft) of torque, the tuner decided to keep it. The factory-installed five-speed manual transmission and permanent four-wheel drive distribute power to all four wheels equally.

Leather has been installed on the Monster's inside for a more luxurious look and feel. Heated seats, air conditioning, electric mirrors, remote locking, a USB audio system, 12-volt outlets, and cup holders are all included in this model's amenities. Roof racks, ladders, LED bars, bullbars, and other optional accessories may be purchased for an additional fee. According to Zubr, you can place an order for a custom Niva and expect it to be delivered in around 12 weeks.
