Xiaomi CEO Approves Production Of 1,527-HP SU7 Ultra Super Sedan

It's official: Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has given the green light for the production of the SU7 Ultra, just a month after the prototype's debut. A massive rear wing, wide fenders, a revised front splitter, side skirts, and race-specific wheels are all features of the SU7's track-oriented variant.
New in-house-manufactured electric motors power it, producing an impressive 1,527 horsepower. Lei Jun stated that drivers will need to pass a detailed exam to unlock the SU7 Ultra, though the specifics are still unknown.
In the first three months of 2025, Xiaomi will begin taking orders for the sports sedan. Despite its higher price compared to the base model, Xiaomi could potentially outperform competitors such as the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT; however, they have not yet made any official price announcements.
One of the most impressive aspects of the SU7 Ultra is its relatively light weight, coming in at just 4,189 lbs. Thanks to this, the SU7 Ultra is about 1,025 pounds lighter than a Porsche Taycan Turbo GT and a Tesla Model S Plaid.
A CATL Qilin 2.0 battery pack powers the vehicle's three electric motors. Xiaomi claims the SU7 Ultra can achieve impressive speeds, going from 0 to 62 mph in just 1.97 seconds, reaching 124 mph in 5.97 seconds, and hitting 186 mph in 15 seconds. This year, Xiaomi is setting its sights on beating the Taycan Turbo GT's Nurburgring lap time of 7 minutes and 7.55 seconds.
