WORLD PREMIERE: Mercedes Vision EQXX Might Debut At Strategy Update On July 22nd
by AutoExpert | 22 July, 2021
Mercedes revealed the first information concerning the Vision EQXX last fall. Since then, the firm hasn't said more about the vehicle, but that's set to change with the unveiling of a new leak shot of the enigmatic EV today.
Mercedes hasn't revealed much about the car, although it has an edgy front fascia that resembles both the Project One and the Vision EQ Silver Arrow prototype. Slender headlights joined by a thin lighted strip can be found elsewhere. A large lower intake and a vented hood with a huge star emblem complete the concept.
The vehicle has a curvy body and bulging fenders, but little more is heard about it. A steeply sloped roof and unique taillights have also been seen in previous teasers.
Mercedes is keeping quiet about the Vision EQXX, but the corporation has previously touted it as a "promising next step in electric car development" with an "incredible" range and productivity. Officials have stated that the car's range may be over 750 miles (1,207 km). That's remarkable, but it's just half the tale. The Vision EQXX was created with the help of the High-Performance Powertrain department, which is primarily responsible for creating technologies and powertrains for Formula One. This indicates that the model will have a lot of strength and durability.
While Mercedes is being secretive, they have hinted that Vision EQXX could be presented during their Strategy Update on July 22nd. That has to be seen, but the firm's Strategy Update will be an EV-focused presentation, with prior reports claiming the manufacturer will use the event to announce intentions to phase out ICE vehicles entirely by the end of the decade.
