by AutoExpert | 17 June, 2021
Kia is preparing for the upcoming year by slightly upgrading its popular model. 2022 Kia Telluride comes with a revised grille and some interior novelties.
The exterior doesn’t bring many changes, so let’s see what’s the deal with the interior. Kia has introduced the Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control-Curve system, which helps automatically slow down the car when approaching a curve. The system will be available on all trims.
Entry-level models S and LX will get new additional standard details like highway driving assist and automatic climate control. There’s also a new 10.25-inches infotainment system with GPS navigation that replaces the former 8-inches screen.
All trims of 2022 Kia Telluride will be powered by a 3.8-liter V6, which will pump up 291 hp (217 kW / 295 PS), with a 262 lb-ft (355 Nm) torque. The transmission is automatic with eight speeds, which for another USD 2.000, can be coupled with an optional all-wheel-drive system.
Front-wheel-drive models will have an EPA estimated fuel saving of 20mpg city, 26 mpg highway, and 23 mpg mixed. These figures decrease to 19 mpg city, 24 mpg highway and 21 mpg combined in the all-wheel-drive model.
Prices for 2022 Kia Telluride are also going through transformations. The 2022 LX trim will have a starting price set at USD 32.790, USD 600 more than last year’s model. The 2022 S trim will be USD 700 more expensive, reaching USD 35.290. The most minimal increase will be noticed at EX and SX models – USD 200 more.
