VW Golf GTI Mk8 – Coming in 2019 with a lot more power!

It will be a 325hp "Hothatch", not exactly the sedate little Golf we are used to!

The photos show how it could look.  Will be front-wheel drive, and three different engines available, a 2.0-liter standard engine with about 260hp, a Performance package with a bit under 300hp, and then there is the Club Sport, which will pack in the range of 325hp and have a much firmer suspension and sportier styling.

You will have a choice of a 6-speed manual transmission or a new 10-speed automatic transmission, a first in the industry.
