Volvo Releases New XC40 And XC60 Over-The-Air Upgrade In The U.S.

In the United States, Volvo has just released over-the-air updates for some 2021 and 2022 vehicles. Over-the-air upgrades for the 2021-2022 Volvo XC40 Recharge, as well as the 2022 XC60, XC60 Recharge, and XC60 Polestar Engineered vehicles fitted with Google built-in, have been made available starting this week.
Each of the abovementioned vehicles will receive a SiriusXM satellite radio as part of the new software upgrade, according to Volvo. This is on top of the Range Assistant app, which was released last week via an over-the-air upgrade.
The Range Assistant was created to help customers keep a record of their car's available range and to offer simple tips on how to enhance effectiveness. The software is built into the Android-based infotainment system and can even maximize driving range by automatically adjusting the climate settings.
Due to increased battery control and regenerative performance, as well as a more optimal timer to pre-condition the batteries before a journey, this revision also leads to a slightly increased range. Furthermore, upgrades to Volvo cars' safety systems and details on how cold weather affects battery capacity are included in the over-the-air upgrade.
