Volvo Introduces EV Range Assistant, Which Includes New Features

After an over-the-air upgrade, Volvo XC40 Recharge users will be able to optimize the range of their electric vehicle with the help of a new app.
Volvo is launching a new software called Range Assistant that it claims will enhance smart battery control and regeneration capabilities, resulting in a longer range. The helper is said to be particularly useful on long journeys because it eliminates the need for recharging pauses.
Safety system enhancements, additional information about how cold weather affects battery range, a real-time energy usage display, and the option to automatically modify the climate system, which is supposed to expand the car's range, are among the other innovative features.
The Volvo Cars app may be used to download and install the update, and the current software version can be displayed on the central infotainment display of the car itself. The app will be available to XC40 Recharge drivers immediately, and the C40 Recharge will receive the upgrade from the beginning of production, according to Volvo. The upgrade will be available to all Volvo models by the end of October of this year, with no exceptions.
