UK Drivers Can Now Enjoy The Luxurious Cadillac Escalade ESV Sport Platinum In RHD

The release of a right-hand-drive Cadillac Escalade will soon delight fans in the United Kingdom. Upon request, Global Conversions may convert any trim level of the 2023 Cadillac Escalade ESV Sport Platinum to right-hand drive (RHD) configuration, as they have done with one ESV Sport Platinum.

Certainly, the undertaking was not without its difficulties. In order to make it work with the new arrangement, the crew had to rebuild the steering system, rearrange the dashboard, and reset a dozen electrical parts.

As expected from a Sport Platinum grade level, this vehicle boasts features such as an adjustable air ride suspension, 22-inch alloy wheels, a 16.9-inch OLED display, twin 12.6-inch screens for the back passengers, an AKG 36-speaker audio system, and the Super Cruise ADAS. The baseline 6.2-liter V8 engine in the Cadillac Escalade ESV generates 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.

A 10-speed automatic gearbox and an electronic limited-slip differential distribute the engine's power to the wheels automatically. Worldwide Conversions offers an upgrade for the Cadillac Escalade V, the top-of-the-line model, that adds 682 horsepower to the standard engine via a supercharged V8. It's reasonable to assume that the refreshed Escalade lineup, set to debut later this year, will follow suit.

The price of the one-of-a-kind 2023 Cadillac Escalade ESV Sport Platinum is still a secret. This same brand-new LHD model starts at $118,690 in the US, but according to Top Gear, the price of the SUV in the UK is over £157,000 ($198,985).
