Ford Transit Courier, the newest member of the American manufacturer's range of commercial vehicles, made its public debut at Birmingham's Commercial Vehicle Show.
The new Transit Courier is a commercial vehicle from the C segment, which incorporates the front side of the new Ford range and comprises all the qualities of this segment's models. According to the Ford representatives, Transit Courier offers the largest load space in its segment, along with reduced maintenance and operating costs, complemented by a high level of safety features.
The boot capacity of Ford's new commercial model is 2.3 cubic meters. The Transit Courier has an overall length of 4.16 meters and, as said before, provides the longest-in-class load length at floor level of 1.62 meters. Thus, with a maximum payload capacity of 660kg, the Transit Courier can accommodate a wide variety of cargo and equipment, including a standard Euro pallet.
The new member of the Transit range will go on sale in the spring of 2014. The Ford representatives expect that the new Transit Courier will significantly contribute to achieving an over fifty percent increase in the sales volume by 2016.
