Toyota Land Cruiser Used For Vaccines

Apparently, a Toyota Land Cruiser can be upgraded to be used for vaccines and is the first one approved by the World HealthCare Organization. It contains a special refrigerator that allows transporting accordingly the anti-Covid vaccines to remote areas.
In collaboration with B-Medical Systems. the special Toyota is an upgraded Toyota Land Cruiser 78 commercial SUV, upgraded into a large capacity version like the 70 Series. The refrigerator needs to have special characteristic and keep the constant temperature between -90°C and -60°C ( -130° F and -76° F). With these three characteristics Toyota is fully approved to deliver th so-much needed vaccines.
The SUV's upgraded specifications allow an overall volume of 14 cubic feet and the ongoing standard temperature up to16 hours of driving. Powered by a 4.5-liter turbodiesel engine, with a low-range FWD system, solid axels at the front and rear of the vehicle it's courageous enough to drive through headen routes where even a today's ideal transport would struggle to reach.
These Land Rovers could also transport any type of vaccines especially those for infants. The need of this vehicles appeared after studying the notes from Unicef and Gavi, members of The Vaccine Alliance which admitted the of discarding infant vaccines because of the issues during transportation, especially in the high-temperature areas.
This way, Toyota created a humanitarian SUV meant to keep those in need, healthy and safe even amidst the global pandemic.
