Toyota Gives Fans A Sneak Peek At The FT-Se and FT-3e Concept Cars
by AutoExpert | 17 October, 2023
The Toyota FT-Se, described as a potential sports car option for the carbon-neutral era, will debut at the Japan Mobility Show 2023 on October 26. Specifically, it's designed leveraging Gazoo Racing's motorsports expertise.
Featuring thin LED taillights curving upwards at the rear, vertical fins on either side, a prominent GR badge, and a striking black diffuser, it seems to be an evolution of the GR Sports Concept. Clad mostly in orange, it also includes a black roof and wing mirrors.
Inside, a teaser reveals a standout digital instrument cluster, a yoke-style steering wheel, and dual infotainment displays flanking the yoke. The concept prioritizes "handling stability and aerodynamic performance" while supporting software updates. It also introduces "newly designed kneepads," aiming to safeguard against G-forces while driving.
In contrast, the Toyota FT-3e, another concept set to debut, showcases a sleek battery-electric crossover design. It features an LED light bar stretching across the rear and numerous vertical LEDs along the base of the doors.
These LEDs can display crucial information like battery charge, interior temperature, and cabin air quality. Unlike the curves and creases seen in the FT-Se, the FT-3e boasts a more angular and simplified exterior, adhering to a design philosophy of simplicity. We look forward to their full unveiling at the event!
