Toyota Electric Truck Could Compete with Maverick
by AutoExpert | 24 October, 2023
Toyota's electric pickup truck (EPU) is one of the centerpieces of the company's list of fascinating concepts at Japan Mobility 2023. It's what Toyota calls a "next-generation mid-size pickup truck concept."
The automaker claims that the EPU is somewhat longer than 16 feet and rides on a 132-inch wheelbase. Toyota is clearly aiming for the small market with this vehicle, since its width and height are both 6 feet.
Interestingly, like the Maverick, the EPU is built with a monocoque frame. While we don't yet know much about the EPU's mechanical components, we can say with confidence that the vehicle's interior is stunning. It seems extremely close to a production-ready design, and its central infotainment system and driver-oriented displays are combined in a single digital display.
Opening its doors to the public on October 26 in Tokyo, the Japan Mobility Show will include a number of interesting Toyota concepts, including the Land Cruiser Se. Automobile fans shouldn't miss this show!
