The new Mazda compact generation will make a "tour de force" of 15,000 kilometers to reiterate the famous expedition of a Germans reporter's team, a journey that took place in 1977 and carried Mazda 323 Sport models from Hiroshima to the Auto Show from Frankfurt.
The Mazda Route3 Hiroshima - Frankfurt Challenge Tour 2013 will start in Vladivostok, Russia's main port on the Pacific Ocean, right when the cars would come from Japan aboard a ship. The trip will divide into seven stages of approximately 2100 kilometers each, the time when journalists, bloggers, and Mazda enthusiasts from different parts of the world will be driving the cars.
All the copies involved will be equipped with 120 hp Skyactiv-G engines and Skyactiv-MT six-speed manual transmissions. The Frankfurt Motor Show will present the models and the visitors will be able to use them for a range of activities.
The new Mazda expedition intends to reiterate the success of the first expedition in order to prove the abilities of their new model, which they will be launched in Frankfurt.
