The New City Car For Europe Will Have The Latest Toyota Yaris Platform

The New City Car is the successor of the Aygo model and was recently confirmed for Europe. The model will be part of the new A-segment model built on the same Yaris and Yaris Cross’ GA-B platform. So far, Toyota is optimistic about increasing their car production by up to 500,000 units.
Designed for the European market, the car’s power will be supplied by a small internal combustion engine, making the model, an affordable one. There’s good news for the drivers who plea for environmental protection, Toyota could provide the same car in a self-charging hybrid version as well.
Because the A-segment is dominated by models empowered by internal combustion engines, the powertrain plays an important role in the vehicle. Toyota wants to make an affordable car since the targeted customers opt for a lower cost vehicle since “the financial accessibility remains a dominant consideration for them.”
It’s still uncertain which model will bear the different moniker, but the final decision is expected along with the end of the 2021 premiere. The current Aygo is manufactured in the Czech Republic. According to the PSA Group announcement, the Aygo was expected along with the Peugeot 108 and Citroen C1, but the French cars might not live past their current generations.
