Since last year, production has been going well at Ineos Grenadier. Now, deliveries have begun all across the globe, with a particularly customized example being put to use in the United Kingdom.
Nith Inshore Rescue, which is located in Scotland, has just recently acquired a specially modified Ineos Grenadier, which is going to be their most recent addition to their fleet of search and rescue vehicles.
Volunteers at this busy lifeboat station dedicate their efforts to protecting people and property from various water-related incidents, such as sea threats, inland water, and flooding in the Upper Solway region. Formerly relying on a classic Land Rover Defender, the rescue station now proudly boasts the UK's inaugural Grenadier emergency vehicle, complementing its operational fleet, which includes a refurbished lifeboat for daily tasks.
“We deal with life-and-death situations, very harsh weather, and challenging terrain, so when it came to evaluating the options for a new support vehicle, there were few options, and the Grenadier stood out, ticking all the boxes,” shared Peter Bryden, Secretary of Nith Inshore Rescue. “We were very impressed with the way it has been engineered and built to last, as well as how straightforward it was to convert it for this role. Together with our revitalized lifeboat, we expect it to serve our team for the next 40 years."
Emergency One, a search and rescue equipment provider, handled the modification and outfitting of this special Ineos Grenadier. Enhancements include an extendable roof-mounted camera, an optional snorkel, distinctive decals, and flashing lights, tailoring it precisely for their critical operations.
