The future cars will not have windshield wipers!

In the near future, the carmakers are likely to use new technology to manufacture windshields, which would eliminate wipers. According to international media, the University of Rochester (USA) would prepare a new technology for all car manufacturers.

Having invented a texture that absorbs water even in an antigravity field, a team of researchers has thought of the reverse process: an environment that repels water 100%. Video demonstrations are with a piece of metal on which it dripped water. In slow motion, you can see how the drops are totally rejected by the laser textured metal. The boards are nano tracks made with the laser. The demonstration can be seen and compared to Teflon, which behaves like a blotter in addition to the invention of Rochester.

The invention will be used primarily in the aviation industry for windshields, but the large-scale will be very useful car producers - not only windshields but also for the body. That means that the wipers will disappear from the standard equipment, and exterior washes will be almost non-existent on the list of expenses.
