When you want to make a wowing statement in the car industry you can get inspiration from Chevrolet. This automaker is never getting it simple when they want to show a new concept on the market. This time they release a new perception of the sports cars with their Corvette E-Ray.
From what was revealed so far, the E-Ray models should feature wider body clothing and replace the Grand Sport on the markets. Meanwhile, fans of electrical Corvettes expect a, EV fitted with an all-wheel-drive system. The base inspiration for creating a more powerful car is the already existing LT2 6.2 -liter V8 and the eight-speed dual-clutch as they exist in the regular models. There's also the controlled "50-plus" horsepower AC electric motors.
Totally, the Corvette E-Ray should deliver around 600 horsepower and might that all this power is created with much lower emissions. So the question now lies between a future plug-in hybrid or an all-electric vehicle. It's expected that the electric Corvette would have a physical footprint thanks to a smoother design that needs no vents at the front.
The price could exceed $60,000 but such pricing would require adding some catchy options for the owners. The Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray should be a real star car to improve the way Corvette will be perceived. Also, the E-Ray is expected on the market in 2023.
