The Chinese presented their own version of VW Passat called Dongfeng Number One!

China strike again! This time with a copy of a model very popular in Europe, the Volkswagen Passat. The sedan Dongfeng Number One is a mix of design ideas successfully borrowed (stolen) from major European manufacturers.
Its front strongly resembles with Volkswagen Passat, on the sides you can spot an Audi and in the back, I see a strong resemblance with S-Class coupe (or even Coupe GLE). Because Chinese engineers are not very good at developing their own technologies, they have chosen to produce the new model on the Peugeot platform which, to our surprise, was licensed and agreed with the French.
It is the platform used by C5 and 508 models, which Chinese claim to have installed their own engines. The engine range is limited and includes one 1.6 liter turbo aspirated that produces 200 horsepower and a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated, capable of generating 150 horsepower.
To ensure success, the Chinese gave their "premium" sedan LED taillights, decorative chrome elements, dubious wheel design, and a dual exhaust system, as is suitable for a luxury car.
