One of the most famous car body studios in the world, Italdesign Giugiaro SpA, passes completely to Audi's portfolio, after the founder of the company, Giorgetto Giugiaro sold the last company stake of 9.9%!
About 5 years ago, Giorgetto Giugiaro was signing a selling contract, that was transferring 90.1% of his company shares to the Germans. Even though Audi was the beneficiary of the transaction, it seems that the whole Volkswagen group enjoyed the opportunities that were coming packaged with this transfer.
Italdesign Giugiaro SpA was born in 1968, and now, after 47 years of activity, after designing 100 legendary automobiles and presenting a new concept at the Geneva Motor Show, the workshop will pass under the shades of Volkswagen Group. Here cars like Volkswagen Golf, Passat, Scirocco, BMW M1, Maserati Bora, Audi 80, Fiat Panda, and many models that wear the Alfa Romeo logo, were brought to light.
It seems that the changes are for the good of the company, where an additional 250 workers will be employed until the end of 2015!
