The 600-HP Z Engine In This Nissan Frontier Off-Road Racer Provides The Power

Previously dominant in Formula Drift, Dai Yoshihara has taken a keen interest in off-road competition as of late. This hunger was satisfied when he and his sponsor, ENEOS, collaborated with Philadelphia's R/T Tuning to build the untamed Nissan Frontier, which made its debut at SEMA.
Using the same VR30DDTT engine as the recently debuted Nissan Z, the crew was entrusted with developing a customized Nismo-spec 2006 Nissan Frontier Pre-Runner.
The engine was reconstructed using JE pistons, Manley Turbo Tuff rods, an R/T Tuning V2 turbo kit, MBRP Armor Pro exhaust, and AMS Performance downpipes. All of these modifications, together with special ECUTEK RaceRom ECU tuning, have resulted in an engine capable of producing 600 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque.
The Nissan Frontier was then sent to Eimer Engineering, where Yoshihara and his Formula Drift crew chief collaborated to design a race-ready suspension system. Meanwhile, WELD Racing Cinch Beadlock wheels are fitted with Yokohama Geolander M/T tires; front Nissan Titan calipers, DBA rotors, and Power Stop pads are used for braking.
