The 2025 Ram 1500 RHO Is A High-Performance Pickup With Impressive Features
by AutoExpert | 29 April, 2024
Meet the new 2025 Ram 1500 RHO: a truck built for power and precision! For starters, the Ram 1500 RHO stands out from the competition as the most competent light-duty pickup by virtue of its eight-inch larger track width than the regular truck. A larger front end and composite fender flares help it fit the extra six inches of track. A redesigned grille with a larger, flow-through Ram emblem is included. The hood, steel truck bumpers, heavy-duty skid plates, and extra-large tow hooks are all new additions.
The rear end also has new stylistic elements, such as integrated marker lights into the bumper and tailgate. A distinctive twin exhaust system with 5-inch tips and a "Sport Tune low-restriction system with true dual pipes running from the front to the back of the truck" are also available to buyers.
With its 18-inch wheels and 35-inch tires, the truck is ready to take on even the most challenging routes. The model's 11.8-inch ground clearance is a result of a 2-inch raise. There is a lot of interior carryover from the regular truck, with the exception of the RHO's console-mounted shifter and accessory multifunction switch bank. Aluminum paddle shifters, a "RHO" emblem on the passenger side dashboard, and a personalized center console plaque with the vehicle's identifying number are all features of this design. The model's standard features, including a ten-speaker audio system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 12-inch infotainment system, are well-appointed.
Also noteworthy are the front 12-way power seats that come with leather upholstery with embroidered RHO logos. The truck boasts adaptive cruise control and a blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-path detection, so comfort and safety are still priorities, even if the vehicle is designed to prioritize performance. Those in need of a more opulent option have the RHO Equipment Group to choose from. It has a bigger 14.5-inch infotainment system and rain-sensing wipers. Both the front and back seats are heated and ventilated, and the front seats also have massage capabilities.
Carbon fiber accents and an electronic rearview mirror are two more notable features. A 19-speaker premium music system and two cordless smartphone chargers complement these features. Among the many extras included in the bundle are a head-up display and Active Drive Assist that doesn't need your hands. Evasive Steer Assist, Intersection Collision Assist, and technology that recognizes traffic signs are also available to buyers. Underneath the hood is a 3.0-liter straight-six engine that uses twin turbochargers to provide 540 horsepower and 521 pound-feet of torque. The RHO is substantially less expensive than the supercharged 6.2-liter V8, which produced 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. However, the engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox and has a conventional four-wheel drive setup.
The second one has an enhanced active transfer case with stronger and more durable internals that is always on. Additionally, the model offers a low range of 2.64:1 for rock crawling. The Ram 1500 RHO can reach 0–60 mph in 4.6 seconds and 0-100 mph in 11.7 seconds with this combination. It will be able to complete the quarter-mile at 105 mph in 13.1 seconds and will reach a maximum speed of 118 mph.
On the contrary, it can pull up to 8,380 lbs and carry a maximum cargo of 1,520 lbs. The truck's off-road suspension has distinctive upper and lower control arms constructed of forged aluminum, continuing the concept of performance. They're longer than standard parts, which means there's more room for the wheels to turn. Moreover, new hard points in the truck's springs and rear suspension allow for an additional 14 inches of axle travel. The truck's back axle, a Dana 60 with an ELD and an ASD, provides better traction and axle control on rough surfaces.
The Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive performance shocks, which boast an optimum balance between on-road handling and class-leading off-road capability, are also included. Additionally, this model comes with Launch Control and a Drive Mode selection that offers options including Auto, Tow, Mud/Sand, Rock, Snow, Sport, Baja, Custom, and Valet.
In the third quarter of 2025, dealers will have the Ram 1500 RHO in stock. The base price is $69,995 plus a destination charge of $1,995. That's a big drop from the previous TRX, which started at $96,340. Customers who are interested may start placing orders now.
