There may soon be a new Rivian model, as the company is developing a high-performance SUV based on rallying principles. According to sources, the model will be known as the R1X and will be based on a shorter version of the R1 platform that accommodates the R1S.
The vehicle may also debut in late 2023 with four electric engines and a brand-new battery pack. Supposedly, the engines will be brand-new and shared with the future dual-motor R1T and R1S models planned for 2024.
Rivian R1X will have a combined output of 1,200 horsepower and 1,200 lb-ft of torque as a result. The combined output of the dual-motor models is reportedly more than 600 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque. Finally, it is anticipated that the 2024 Rivian will cost $115,000.
