The 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning Flash: Unveiling a Techie’s Paradise on Four Wheels with Enhanced Range and Thermal Efficiency
by AutoExpert | 3 October, 2023
The Ford F-150 Lightning series is welcoming an all-new variant in 2024, known as the Flash. Engineered with the technology enthusiast in mind, this new trim level offers a multitude of cutting-edge features without the lavishness found in the more premium versions.
Priced from $69,995, not including delivery fees, the Flash is an expansion on the XLT trim, which starts at $57,495. This fresh addition to the lineup slots just below the Lariat, Platinum, and Platinum Black models.
The Flash doesn't skimp on standard amenities. Among its offerings are a 15.5-inch LCD touchscreen with intuitive swipe functionality, and a Bang & Olufsen audio setup complete with eight speakers, a subwoofer, and HD Radio. The vehicle also facilitates wireless charging, keeping your gadgets powered up on the go.
The 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning Flash comes equipped with Ford’s Intelligent Access system featuring push-button start. The system incorporates approach detection, recognizing when a key holder is nearby, along with a SecuriCode keypad for keyless entry.
But the tech doesn't stop there. The truck provides owners with a functional power tailgate that includes a step and a workspace. Also standard is the Tow Technology Package. This comprehensive towing suite consists of features like Pro Trailer Backup Assist, Trailer Brake Controller, Smart Hitch, integrated scales, a smart trailer connection point, and trailer reverse guidance.
One of the standout features of the Flash is its heat pump system, designed to optimize the vehicle's range. Thanks to the inclusion of a more substantial battery pack, the Flash is EPA-rated at an impressive 320 miles (515 km).
To further assist drivers during long-haul journeys, the F-150 Lightning Flash is compatible with BlueCruise 1.2, an optional feature offering Lane Change Assist and in-lane repositioning. The system can also receive over-the-air updates, available through a subscription service after a 90-day trial period.
Marin Gjaja, COO for Ford Model e, said, "The F-150 Lightning Flash stems from our desire to understand and cater to our customers. The truck encapsulates an array of tech-forward elements that our consumer base admires, all at a more palatable price point."
Orders for this electrifying new addition to the Ford lineup will be open for online booking early next year.
