The Electrified G80 is Genesis' first ever fully electric sedan, and it was just released. Its 87.2 kWh battery pack powers the vehicle's 136 kW (182 hp) front and 136 kW (182 hp) rear electric drivetrains, resulting in a total output of 272 kW (365 hp) and 516 lb-ft of torque.
The car's acceleration to 62 mph takes 4.9 seconds thanks to these motors, and its maximum range is 323 miles according to the WLTP. The Genesis Electrified G80 features the same 400/800V multi-rapid-charging mechanism as previous electric vehicles from Hyundai Motor Group.
This system allows the battery to be charged from 10% to 80% in just 22 minutes, and it also supports a Vehicle To Load (V2L) system with Vehicle To Vehicle charging capabilities. The Electrified G80 comes standard with a variety of additional technology, including Electrically Assisted Dynamic Torque Vectoring Control (eDTVC), Road-Preview Electronic Control Suspension, etc.
Standard safety features include Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Junction Turning/Crossing, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Forward Attention Warning, Blind-Spot View Monitor, High Beam Assist, and an Intelligent Front-lighting system, among others.
The Electrified G80 comes in 11 distinct exterior colors, 10 of which are shared with the ICE variants and 1 (Matira Blue) of which is available exclusively for the EV. On the inside, you can choose between Obsidian Black, Havana Brown, Forest Blue, or Glacier White.
The main interior amenities are a 20-speaker Lexicon by Harman sound system, a 14.5-inch augmented reality infotainment screen, an 18-way power-adjustable driver seat, and a 12.3-inch 3D digital instrument cluster.
Australian clients, however, will be limited to a single trim level, priced at AU$145,000 ($97,827), with a matte paint finish available for an additional AU$2,000 ($1,349).
