Techrules Ren — The First Diesel-Electric Supercar From The Car Maker

The new Techrules Ren is a supercar that might make other supercars shy, once it hits the marketplace. Being available with three configurations and a patented diesel-fueled turbine charging system, the supercar is almost ready to enter production.

The available configurations are: two, four, and six electric engines, delivering up to 1,305PS (1,287 hp) and 2,340 Nm torque. The range-topper consists of two electric front engines and six rear ones, pumping the car to reach the first 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds. The top speed is 320 km/h.

If this is too much for you, you can choose the more modest version, with 870 hp and 1,560 Nm torque. This version has four engines, while the two-engine version delivers 435 hp and 780 Nm torque.

The propulsion system is helped by three battery packs, with 14, 25, and 32 kWh. Charging them to 80% will take less than 15 minutes, with a fast-charging DC.

TREV comes in two types: 30 kW and 80 kW. 80 liters of petrol will be enough to drive 2,000 km! The zero-emissions range is available at 200 km.

If you have fallen in love with the car's design than this is because Giorgetto Giugiaro and Fabrizio have worked together on it. The result is this modular 3-cockpit look, with a fighter jet-style canopy, reversing LEDs, laser headlights, and enough space for driver, driver, and one passenger and driver and two passengers.

The interior features three separate monitoring screens, carbon fiber details, and fine Italian leather. All seats feature speakers and microphones, thus improving the communication between the passengers inside the car.

Techrules Ren will hit production next year, with a limited edition of 96 handcrafted units. There will be a maximum of 10 cars built per year, with a price exceeding 7 figures.
