Soviet Ekranoplan Will join the Military Patriot Park

The Ekranoplan is designed to demonstrate the technological innovation of the Soviet Union.

Part boat and part airplane, this massive machine is being pulled from the Caspian Sea in order to be part of a theme park attraction.

Initially intended for military use in the Soviet Union, Ekranoplans could potentially carry nuclear missiles, The fact that it didn’t actually touch the water, it was undetectable by active sonar, and not flying high enough made it undetected by radar at the time. The perfect middle group for covert transportation.

It's a massive superplane with a 148-foot wingspan that will become part of the Military Patriot Park.

Until then, it’ll just rest on the beach like a giant mythical creature from the deep.
