Skoda Fabia Rally2 Is A Power-Packed Tribute To Rally Legend José Antonio Suárez

Skoda’s Fabia Rally2 is more than just a nod to motorsport—it's a tribute to the thrilling career of José Antonio Cohete Suárez, the rally driver who took home titles in 2021 and 2023. This limited-edition hatchback is set to electrify the Spanish market, blending high-performance engineering with the spirit of Suárez’s championship-winning car.
Under the hood, Skoda worked with ABT Sportsline to squeeze out more power from the turbocharged 1.5-liter TSI engine, now cranking out 188 hp and 214 lb-ft of torque. It’s a solid bump over the standard Fabia, giving this special edition a sharper edge on the road. A seven-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic channels power, ensuring smooth, punchy shifts that keep the driver in full control.
Visually, the Fabia Rally2 is dressed to impress. Painted in a striking Mamba Green—an eye-catching shade typically reserved for Skoda's high-performance RS models—the car looks every bit the part of a rally star. This vivid color matches Suárez's own rally machine, further connecting this limited edition to its high-speed inspiration.
It sits lower to the ground thanks to a 15mm suspension drop, while a set of black 17-inch OZ Racing wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tires complete the sporty look.
Skoda didn’t stop at performance tweaks. They added thoughtful rally-inspired details like a rear spoiler, matte black mudguards, and special badges—including Suárez’s signature "Cohete" marking on the tailgate. The laurel on the rear pillar is a quiet but proud reminder of Suárez’s victories in the Spanish Rally Super Championship.
Inside, things stay equally racy. Black upholstery lines the cabin, and the sport steering wheel with paddle shifters adds a dose of motorsport flair.
Suárez himself signs a numbered plaque, transforming this hatchback into a genuine collector's piece. For Suárez, having a car created in his honor was a moment of pride. “For me it is an honor, I am very excited. Škoda has put my name on a unique model that replicates the car we compete with and celebrates the victories we have achieved with so much effort in the Spanish Rally Super Championship. Without a doubt, a great incentive to repeat the victory this season, both in the drivers’ and manufacturers’ categories.”
The Fabia Rally2 carries a price tag of €30,900 ($33,461), with only 100 units reserved for Spain. Deliveries are set for March 2025, but fans of Suárez and rally enthusiasts alike will need to act fast to get their hands on this rare and unique car.
