24 Hours Le Mans Race will soon have a new competitor. Scuderia Cameron wants to create and build a road-legal version for the 007 and up to test its endurance in the Le Mansypercar Class competition. The car will compete by the name 007S.
To prepare for such a rough race and to make the project viable, the automaker should have orders for at least 24 cars, of up to $2.3 million for each. In case of project failure, it'll be guaranteed is that according to an official agreement, the customers would get full refund. As you can imagine this project requires quite a heavy investment if the price is so high for one car solely.
Now, the second goal would be to make the hypercar road-legal accordingly to U.S. regulations, and for Europe, Middle East, Japan, if necessary. The details revealed to say that the Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus model will be sold as a three-seater with a central front seat for the driver and will sport an aerodynamic package that meets the LMH standards.
The 24 Glickenhauses will deliver up to 1,400 horsepower and that's more than the double delivered by the 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 of the 007 LM racing car strict regulation of the maximum of 670 horsepower. Imagine the car tunings to deliver such performances.
So far, it's known that Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus, has its focus on racing, so the 007S hypercar will come with onboard air jacks to allow customers to easily mount race-ready wheels and tires. For the race, the expecting performance aims at 100 laps on a circuit and you'll still be able to go home. Pretty cool, right?
You could get your ordered hypercar after the SCG has completed all 24 orders and in just two years they will start to deliver them.
