Rumors Say The Bugatti Chiron Will Have A Crazy Top Speed
by AllAutoExperts | 14 January, 2016
Say What? Even though Bugatti neither confirmed nor denied this rumor, we're still pretty excited about this.
The only thing Bugatti managed to keep in secret is the performance of the new Chiron. All other details were spied upon many months ago. Anyways, a Czech source - ProDrive CZ, says the Chiron will achieve a top speed of 290 mph. This might make the new hypercar the benchmark for all other future super/hypercars.
This speed will be produced by a huge 8-liter W16 quad-turbo engine with an electric boost that can produce a total of around 1,500 hp and 1,107 lb-ft of torque. The production of Chiron will last only 5 years and each year they will produce exactly 100 units. This means that there will be only 500 Chirons ever made, excluding Chiron Targa which is set to appear sometime in 2018. In an age of downsizing, Bugatti is keeping it high. Bad or Good?
