Rolls-Royce Wraith And Dawn Orders Close
by AutoExpert | 25 March, 2022
The only way you can get a Rolls-Royce Wraith or Dawn is to buy a used one. Both are no longer available for order, according to Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös. Due to rules, the last surviving two-door models in the Rolls-Royce portfolio were phased out of the US market by the end of 2021. The Wraith and the Dawn order books are stopped for all regions, according to the CEO.
The Wraith and Dawn will not be replaced directly, according to the British carmaker. Even though Torsten Müller-Ötvös confirmed that the completely electric Spectre would fill the coupe position in the future Rolls-Royce line, the brand views it more as a replacement for the bigger Phantom coupe flagship.
The first electric vehicle to wear the Spirit of Ecstasy has begun the final stages of development, with a release date set for the fourth quarter of 2023. The choice of a new name for Rolls-Royce's first electric production model was made to reflect the vehicle's new purpose within the range. The two-door body type was chosen as the most attractive to the younger audience.
The remaining line, which will be entirely electrified by 2030, including the replacements of the Ghost, Cullinan, and Phantom, do not need to adopt the new naming strategy. Rolls-Royce has yet to respond to questions of whether or not they plan to release a convertible vehicle to replace the Wraith and the Phantom Drophead Coupe.
