Robosweeper Is A Self-Driving Electric Vehicle That Cleans And Sanitizes Public Streets

When it comes to cleaning large cities, governments have a challenge. However, modern technology has blessed us with a possibility. WeRide and Yutong Group have developed a new autonomous electric truck called the Robosweeper for the purpose of disinfecting and cleaning public roads.
It appears to be a bus. It is, however, a fully operational, production-ready vehicle, not just a concept.
Level 4 autonomy is enabled by the sensors protruding from the body, a characteristic not yet available in production cars.
A cloud-based platform manages the fleet of Robosweepers. According to Car News China, all route planning, supervision, and maintenance breaks for charging, and water refilling may be done without the need for human intervention. Later this month, a fleet of Robosweepers will begin testing in Guangzhou. This service might be extended to other Chinese cities if all goes as planned.
