Refreshed Design For BMW Alpina XB7 Flagship SUV
by AutoExpert | 14 April, 2022
The XB7 has been updated by Alpina, BMW's in-house premium tuning department. With a new front fascia and interior tech, the remastered Alpina XB7 is designed to dazzle. The most significant alteration is to the SUV's front end, where the lighting scheme has been modified for 2023.
BMW's Iconic Glow kidney grille is highlighted by a second row of darker lighting components. Additionally, Alpina's new design language can be seen on the vehicle's front and back aprons.
The new 2023 Alpina XB7 will be powered by the latest version of BMW's 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8, which includes mild-hybrid aid and a redesigned cross-bank exhaust manifold. However, power and torque remain the same at 612 horsepower and 590 lb-ft, respectively. This enables the SUV to attain a peak speed of 180 mph and a time of 4.2 seconds to reach 62 mph. Air suspension is included on both axles, as are Alpina-specific damper and kinematic configurations.
It rides on a set of specially designed wheels and tires, with 21-inch "Alpina Dynamic" wheels covered in high-performance run-flat rubber. The 23-inch forged-alloy "Alpina Classic" 20-spoke rims with Pirelli tires are available for those who want a bit more drama.
Inside, the SUV features a special leather interior, and the Alpina XB7 operates on the newest BMW Operating System 8. Preliminary orders for the 2023 BMW Alpina XB7 are already being accepted in Europe, with delivery slated to begin in December. Production will begin in December 2022 for the US and right-hand-drive regions, with orders expected to open in September. The starting price is €170,500 ($184,685 USD).
