For the most significant M models, G-Power is offering a range of tuning options. The aftermarket expert is back with the M5 and M8 following the M2 and M4 projects. The Competition served as the base for both, with owners choosing between four tuning levels.
The sedan is based on the Life Cycle Impulse, which was unveiled in June 2020, whereas the coupe is a pre-facelift version, as the LCI was just unveiled a few weeks ago.
The twin-turbo V8 produces similar results with the G-Power tweak because they both employ the S63 motor: Stage 1: 700 hp and 850 Nm (625 lb-ft); Stage 2: 740 hp and 900 Nm (662 lb-ft); Stage 3: 780 hp and 950 Nm (670 lb-ft); Stage 4: 820 hp and 1,000 Nm (735 lb-ft).
For those who wish to take the M5 Competition and M8 Competition to another stage, G-Power offers two extra kits. The Hurricane RS generates 840 hp and 1,050 Nm (775 lb-ft), while the Hurricane RR develops 900 hp. The flagship keeps the same torque as the RS.
