Pontiac GTO - back to 1999!

This concept car appeared in the 1999 Detroit Auto Show, as a revival of the '60s and '70s iconic muscular Pontiac GTO cars.

It has a special tachometer installed under the hood, right in front of the driver. Pity that no compatible drive train has been installed, as well. The concept car is supposed to have 19 inch front wheels and 20 inch back wheels.

Nevertheless, the 2004 GTO, which has made it to production, had very little to almost nothing in common with this concept.

On the other hand, Camaro the 5th generation has borrowed some of its main features just a few years later.
