Picasso 660 LMS Made Its First Appearance With A 3.0-liter Twin-Turbo V6
by AutoExpert | 9 June, 2022
The 660 LMS is the first production vehicle from Picasso Automotive, a fledgling supercar business based in Switzerland. The car debuted at a special preview event at Top Marques Monaco and is currently available for orders. The PS-01 prototype was initially teased last year, and this is the production version.
It rests atop a platform manufactured from a combination of carbon fiber and aluminum. The monocoque is built of carbon fiber, while the bodywork is piece-on-piece joined. The two body sides are constructed of the longest carbon fiber panel ever manufactured for a car, according to the company. As a consequence, the 660 LMS weighs just 2,160 pounds.
Inside, there are several racing car-inspired details, such as the six-point seatbelts, rotary selector for the configurable ABS and traction control settings, and Alcantara-wrapped carbon fiber steering wheel.
The 660 LMS is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine supplied by Autotecnica Motori. This six-cylinder engine produces 660 horsepower and 541 lb-ft of torque. The Sadev six-speed sequential transmission sends power to the rear wheels. Obviously, the model was extensively tested in the wind tunnel by Picasso using CFD simulation.
All four tires on the car are Pirelli P Zero Trofeo Rs, measuring 19 inches in diameter in front and 20 inches in back. The braking power is provided by Brembo's six-piston calipers in the front and four-piston calipers at the rear.
At an estimated cost of €820,000 ($878,500), just 21 660 LMS will be built by Picasso. Orders are currently being taken. Production and delivery are set for the second half of next year.
