Peugeot is preparing a convertible version of 208

According to French publication Caradisiac, Peugeot 208 convertible will debut in the second half of the next year and will have a fabric roof, breaking the "tradition" launched by 206 CC with its metal roof.
Return to the fabric-roofed convertibles would be a cost savings and a significant reduction of the car mass and simplification of its construction. In addition, the trunk would be more generous than in an equivalent model with metal convertible roof, like its predecessor, the 207 CC. The format will keep the four seats.
The official launch of the new model is scheduled for the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2015.
